The works arise without preliminary sketch, under recurring, predetermined conditions: canvas, liquid paint, solid paint. Each layer responds to the previous one — as a sequence of application, drying and decision. What remains visible and what is covered determines the image.

The series is the actual work. Each painting is a state — not a variation of an idea, but the result of the same process, whose conditions shift with every intervention.
Die Arbeiten entstehen ohne Vorentwurf unter wiederkehrenden, festgelegten Bedingungen: Leinwand, flüssige Farbe, feste Farbe. Jede Schicht reagiert auf die vorherige – als Abfolge von Auftrag, Trocknung und Entscheidung. Was sichtbar bleibt und was überdeckt wird, bestimmt das Bild.

Das konstante Format, 36 × 30 cm, ist keine Einschränkung. Es ist die Bedingung, unter der die Möglichkeiten der Malerei geprüft werden.
Die Serie ist das eigentliche Werk. Jedes Bild ist ein Zustand – nicht Variation einer Idee, sondern Resultat desselben Prozesses, dessen Bedingungen sich mit jedem Eingriff verschieben.
